Beans and Leaves Café Athlone

I brought my sons to Beans and Leaves on the first sunny weekend in March. This restaurant is a wonderful treasure. The decor is light and sunny, the staff super friendly and efficient (a shout out to Olivia for her kindness) and the food is outstanding. We ordered the french toast, waffles and pancakes in turn and all agreed that each was the best of its kind we had ever enjoyed.

I don't live in Athlone, but I do visit very often and this is the one spot I will always go to for food. It is the right way to start your day.
Whether you're vegetarian, pescatarian, gluten free etc. This cafe restaurant will accommodate you. The staff are very friendly and helpful, so if you need assistance on your dietary needs they are there to help. I have ordered many meals from there and they never cease to amaze me. Ive attached pictures of recent meals, lemon meringue is absolutely beautiful, even if you're not a fan of lemon! Their crispy ham hock is divine. Acai bowl is beautiful if you want something cold on a hot summer's morning. And their pancakes and French toast are beautiful, you can choose from many breakfast toppings, so if you want a sweet treat in the morning but you also need protein to power you through the day, no problem, add an egg or a sausage on the side and you're good to go!
I recommend this place to anyone.
Shout out to Oliwia and Sarah for the marvelous service yesterday, to the chef for the beautiful food and to Oliwia's boyfriend Alex who makes bomb salads and acai bowls. 😋

We ordered four meals, two from the kids menu, and everything was great. Service was friendly and efficient. The kids' dessert was made with lots of extra requests taken into account for my fussy kids. Much appreciated! A few wooden kids toys in the corner was a bonus too.
